About the Summit
The Colorado Outdoor Industry Leadership Summit (COILS) is a free three day conference that brings together professionals across Colorado's entire outdoor industry to learn, connect, and collaborate in an organic way, creating lasting relationships that unify and strengthen our collective industry.
This year’s conference will be located at the Keystone Lodge & Spa in Keystone, CO, on Wednesday September 30-Friday October 2, 2026.

About the Theme: Base Camp to Peak
Base Camp to Peak is about the entire journey; covering the preparation, the ascent, and everything that happens in between.
Last year, many of us gathered at the Estes Park base camp. By the campfire, we bonded over shared struggles and challenges the industry is facing, getting a good collective look at the landscape we are operating in. We identified several obstacles, but many of us left asking the same question: “Now what? What’s next?”
This year, we are leaving the base camp and preparing for the “climb” at Keystone. In 2025, we discussed some of the issues and impacts; in 2026, we hope to map the solutions. This summit is all about moving from observation to action–to plan, collaborate, and navigate the challenges and excitement that await us on the ascent.
We acknowledge that not all journeys will be the same. Some will hike, some will climb, some will bike. At COILS 2026, our focus is the intentionality of the journey. Through structured brainstorming and creative problem-solving, we will build the framework to better sustain and grow our communities while collectively advancing our industry.
