Hosted by the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade, this day-long event will connect you with key resources to unlock new strategies and keep the momentum going in your community. Get ready for an inspiring day of success stories and actionable insights!

The Outreach and Impact Summit will celebrate and feature Bent, Baca, Otero, Crowley, Kiowa, Prowers, Las Animas, and Huerfano counties. Community members from across the state are invited to attend and celebrate this region from the Spanish Peaks to the Southeastern Plains!

- 9-9:30 a.m. Coffee and networking: Coffee and pastries & networking with exhibitor tables.
- 9:30-10 a.m. Opening remarks: Welcome speeches from OEDIT leadership and local elected officials.
- 10-11:30 a.m. Workshops
- Business Retention & Expansion: This workshop will support participants in being able to align regional economic development data with growth opportunities and address gaps or constraints. Additionally, the workshop will help improve readiness to engage with OEDIT on business recruitment, familiarizing participants with OEDIT support programs and partnership opportunities.
- Leveraging Opportunity Zones Designations: Administered by OEDIT staff, this session will provide details on the federal Opportunity Zone tax incentive, highlight the types of projects that have received investment through the program, and give an update on the Opportunity Zone 2.0 designation process in Colorado.
- Access to Capital for Small Businesses: Join local resource partners, lenders, bankers, and fellow business owners for an Access to Capital Workshop designed to help you locate funding opportunities. Participants will hear about financing options and partake in brainstorming sessions to address common questions and situations regarding access to capital. This opportunity will allow business owners and entrepreneurs to connect directly with capital providers.
- Creative Communities in Action: This interactive workshop explores how arts, culture and creative businesses can drive Main Street revitalization and rural economic development. Participants will gain an overview of the Call Yourself Creative Creative Districts Development framework and the Community Revitalization program, with real-world case studies highlighting strategies for leveraging creativity to strengthen place and local economies.
- 11:30 a.m.-12 p.m. The View from Here: Grounding AI in Rural Colorado: A landscape talk on where AI stands today and what it means for rural Colorado.
- 12-1 p.m. Lunch and music: Food from a local restaurant accompanied by a musical performance from a local artist.
- 1-2 p.m. Vibrant Trinidad Panel: Deep dive on essential programs and economic development projects in Trinidad.
- 2-2:30 p.m. Creative performance: Performance from a local artist.
- 2:30-3:30 p.m. Community Asset Mapping: Collaborative activity to identify opportunities and challenges to main street vitality. Findings will influence the topics addressed during the concluding panel.
- 3:30-4:30 p.m. Downtown Vitality: Regional Voices Panel: Listening session with regional leaders reflecting on strategies and resources to build a thriving downtown with an emphasis on regional collaboration.
- 4:30 p.m. Light bites and networking: Appetizers and cash bar available.

- Acceso a Capital para Pequeños Negocios: Participe junto a socios locales, prestamistas y otros empresarios en este taller diseñado para identificar vías de financiamiento. Los asistentes conocerán diversas alternativas de capital y participarán en dinámicas de intercambio para resolver dudas frecuentes. Esta es una oportunidad para que emprendedores establezcan vínculos directos con proveedores financieros.
- Retención y Expansión Empresarial: Este espacio está orientado a las organizaciones de desarrollo económico (EDO) de la región. El taller brindará apoyo para alinear la información económica local con las posibilidades de crecimiento, abordando limitaciones existentes. Asimismo, se busca fortalecer la colaboración con OEDIT mediante el conocimiento de sus programas de apoyo y captación de negocios.
- Comunidades Creativas en Acción: Una sesión interactiva sobre cómo el arte, la cultura y la industria creativa impulsan la revitalización de las Calles Principales (Main Streets). Se ofrecerá una visión general del marco de Distritos Creativos y del programa de Revitalización Comunitaria, utilizando casos reales como ejemplo. Los participantes podrán reflexionar y definir su propia visión para transformar su comunidad.
- Zonas de Oportunidad en Colorado: Acompañe al equipo de OEDIT en una sesión sobre las Zonas de Oportunidad estatales. Se detallarán los incentivos fiscales federales, se mostrarán proyectos exitosos que han recibido inversiones y se informará sobre el proceso de designación 2.0 en Colorado. Este taller es ideal para desarrolladores, inversionistas y líderes comunitarios interesados en este programa.
