Do Colorado Right Coalition

Program Summary

The Do Colorado Right Coalition (DCR Coalition) is a statewide partnership led by the Colorado Tourism Office that brings together tourism, outdoor recreation, and community organizations to promote responsible travel and stewardship. The goal of the Coalition is to activate a collaborative network of partners to implement strategies from the Destination Stewardship Strategic Plan that positively influence visitor behavior and contribute to a more sustainable future for Colorado’s communities, public lands, and outdoor spaces.

DCR Coalition Goals

The purpose of the DCR Coalition is to:

Develop and distribute resources that support partners in implementing stewardship strategies

Recognizing and celebrating partner success stories through:
- Monthly newsletters
- Quarterly Coalition meetings
- Features on CTOstewardship.com
- Facilitate collaboration and idea-sharing among partners
- Provide educational webinar and toolkits
- Share updates on CTO programs and initiatives aligned with Coalition goals

Joining the DCR Coalition is free, and is open to organizations committed to responsible tourism and protecting Colorado’s communities and public lands. This includes, but is not limited to:

Federal, state and local land managers
Government entities (local governments and federally recognized tribes)
Destination management/marketing organizations (DMOs)
Lodging tax boards committees or panels
Chamber of commerce or chamber resort associations
Guides and outfitters
Tourism businesses
Outdoor nonprofit organizations (friends groups, conversation organizations, etc.)
Outdoor retailers
Statewide or regional tourism industry associations
Hospitality providers (hotels, STRs, restaurants, breweries, etc.)

Partners in the DCR Coalition will receive the following benefits to help support their stewardship efforts:

Listing on CTOstewardship.com .
Opportunities to share stewardship success stories through CTO channels.
Use of the Do Colorado Right Coalition logo.
Customizable Leave No Trace assets.
Monthly Do Colorado Right newsletter.
