Colorado Film and Television Festival Coalition

Program Summary

The Colorado Film and Television Festival Coalition (CFTFC) is a festival-driven initiative that connects film and television festival leaders from across Colorado to share resources, create networking opportunities, and improve the quality and attendance of film and television festivals statewide. Breckenridge Film Festival’s Programming & Operations Director, Cait McCluskie, is the organizer, and she is supported by the Colorado Office of Film, Television & Media (COFTM).

Goal: To further the film and television festival landscape in Colorado by creating a statewide industry group that will host conversations, collaborate on exhibition opportunities, and share resources.

Monthly newsletter with updates from participating festivals, upcoming events, general news, and varying resources
Bi-Monthly Meetings (primarily virtual with some in-person meetings)
Connection to OEDIT departments and municipal partners (Destination Marketing Orgs, Rural Opportunity Office, Small Business Development Centers, University outreach, etc.)
Facilitating conversations around programmatic partnerships across multiple festivals (COFTM and other Festival Leaders)
Local fundraising/support strategies and development
Calendar of festival dates across the state, housed on COFTM website
Professional development conversations/panels/learning opportunities facilitated in partnership with COFTM
Opportunities to create and lead seminars/workshops for CFTFC
Task forces engaged in specific topics such as funding, audience development, and programmatic collaborations
Outreach to local, regional and state civic leaders for film fest involvement per appropriate channels facilitated in partnership with COFTM
Film Festival Directory housed on COFTM website
Film Fest Tax Credit Support and resources from COFTM
