Notice Under the Americans with Disabilities Act
In accordance with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), the Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) will not discriminate against qualified individuals on the basis of disability in its services, programs, or activities.
Employment
OEDIT does not discriminate on the basis of disability in its hiring or employment practices and complies with all regulations from the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission under Title I of the ADA.
Effective Communication
OEDIT will provide upon request appropriate aids and services, including sign language interpretation and alternative document formats, to ensure effective communication for people with disabilities.
Modification to Policies and Procedures
OEDIT will make all reasonable modifications to policies and programs to ensure that people with disabilities have an equal opportunity to enjoy all State programs, services, and activities.
Request an Accommodation
Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or modification of policies or procedures to participate in an Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) program, service, or activity should contact ADA Coordinator Ryan West at oedit.info@state.co.us as soon as possible but no later than 48 hours before a scheduled event.
The ADA does not require OEDIT to take any action that would fundamentally alter the nature of its programs or services, or impose an undue financial or administrative burden.
We encourage individuals with disabilities to request reasonable accommodations that will help to ensure their effective enjoyment of and participation in OEDIT’s programs, services, activities, and employment practices.
- All requests are considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Accommodations for qualified individuals are provided at no cost to the individual.
- Accommodation requests that would impose an undue financial or administrative burden on OEDIT may not be fulfilled as requested.
Examples of accommodations include:
- Sign language interpretation for an event, meeting, or appointment
- An assistive listening device for an in-person meeting or event
- Alternative document formats (such as Braille or large print)

It may be used by anyone who wishes to file a complaint alleging discrimination on the basis of disability in the provision of services, activities, programs, or benefits provided by the Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT).
Current OEDIT employees who need a workplace accommodation should contact the Human Resources (HR) Office for support. Prospective employees who have been invited to interview for an employment opportunity should work directly with the person arranging the interview.
