The Regional Talent Development Initiative Grant Program - now Opportunity Now Colorado – is an $85 million grant program creating transformative change for Colorado's workforce.
The Regional Talent Summits Act was created by House Bill 24-1365 to strengthen talent pipeline needs through seven collaborative regional summits. The summits aim to enhance regional economic development by prioritizing business needs to create stronger alignment between educational programs and in-demand industries. These convenings will ultimately result in two and five year tactical plans that develop career pathways in specified fields facing regional workforce challenges.
The Opportunity Now Tax Credit was created by House Bill 24-1365 to encourage workforce development in industries impacted by IIJA, IRA and/or CHIPS. This refundable tax credit provides financial assistance for facility improvements and/or equipment acquisition costs associated with training programs designed to alleviate workforce shortages.
